Collection Description: Meteorites refer to debris from other celestial bodies outside the Earth's solar system. Most of them come from asteroids between Mars and Jupiter, and a few come from the moon (40 pieces) and Mars (40 pieces). More than 40,000 meteorite samples have been collected all over the world. The main component of meteorite is silicate.

They can be roughly divided into three categories: meteorites (mainly composed of silicates), iron meteorites (ferronickel alloys), and iron meteorites (iron and silicate mixtures). It's one of the most falling meteorites. A general term for meteorites consisting mainly or wholly of silicate minerals, especially ferromagnesia silicates, in which the iron-nickel content is less than 30%. According to the existence of chondrites or not, chondrites can be divided into two categories: chondrites and non-chondrites. According to the overall chemical composition, chondrites can be divided into carbon chondrites, ordinary chondrites and pyroxene chondrites. The third classification of non-spherical meteorites is also based on chemical (mineral) composition. Rocks (minerals) with high calcium content are called calcium-rich chondrites, while low calcium content is called calcium-poor chondrites.
